Troy’s High Enrollment Causes Housing Shortage
Troy university’s enrollment is up again and it’s having a big effect on students looking for housing.
Some students are having a problem securing either on or off campus. University officials say international students are effected the most. There are over 500 new international students for the fall semester. Officials say right now they are working with area apartment complexes to solve the problem.
“Last year it started, we had a big growth and we were able to accommodate everybody. This year our growth is even bigger so we’re working on accommodating everybody.”
Classes on Troy’s main campus start Wednesday, August 17th.
