Mourning Loss Of Union Springs Police Chief’s Daughter

The Union Springs community is in mourning after the police chief’s daughter is murdered in Mississippi.
Brittany Foster was shot and killed outside of the Buffalo Wild Wings in Columbus.
She was born in Union Springs, and was the daughter of new police chief Danny Jackson.
City leaders placed black ribbons on city buildings in reverence of Brittany.
Her father says she was a hard working Southern University graduate and a part of the air force reserves.
“Brittany was the most sweetest person I’ve ever known. She was always trying to help people. She was always trying to solve problems. Just keep us in your prayers. And just remember Brittany for who she was,” said Chief Danny Jackson.
Police charged Tarkesha Carter in connection with the shooting.
Brittany’s funeral will be held this Saturday at noon at Union Spring’s First Missionary Baptist Church.
