Pat Dye Speaks to Elmore Co Auburn Club
Football season is right around the corner and former Auburn head coach Pat Dye was talking football in the River Region Monday night.
Pat Dye was the guest speaker at the Elmore County Auburn Club.
He coached the Auburn Tigers from 1981 until 1992 building the football program into a power in the Southeastern Conference.
As for this year’s team, the coach says he is optimistic about what they will be able to do this year.
“I think defensively we are going to be a lot better. We should be good in the specialty teams. I like all 3 quarterbacks. We have inexperience at wide receiver but good at runningback,” said Dye.
The eagles from Auburn’s Southeastern Raptor Center were also at the barbecue dinner.
Auburn will open the season against Clemson September 3rd.
