Flood Relief Drive Underway in West Alabama

People in West Alabama who want to donate items to help with flood relief in Louisiana have a place to drop off donations.

C&S Fabrication in Moundville is parking an 18-wheeler trailer outside of its business on Highway 69. The trailer will be open 24 hours a day to accept non-perishable food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, diapers and other items that flood victims may need.

The trailer will be lit, with steps installed to make it easier to load items inside.

Once the trailer is full, it will be driven to Louisiana and C&S Fabrication will set up an additional trailer, if needed. It’s hoped the first trailer will be filled by Friday, Aug. 26.
