Reaction To 315 Exchange Bar Reopening

A Troy bar with a history of police calls for underage drinking, among other infractions, may soon be reopening.

New owner Mychael Blunt is hoping to do things right this time around at 315 Exchange.

The Troy City council approved the liquor license, under the condition that all building and fire codes are met.

The council had it’s reservations, but some said ultimately they wanted to give the new owner a chance.

Blunt used to be head of security at the bar and he says while he wants the bar to be ultimately the same as before, rules will be followed.

Mychael Blunt said, “I believe in doing things the right way right off the bat. That way nothing comes along later on and catches up with you. We are not trying to cut any corners.”

They want to open by mid-September. Blunt says they are considering whether or not it will be a 19 and up or just 21 and older allowed in.
