Lady Hornet linksters ready to tee off on season
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (bamastatesports.com) – Just one week after the ASU men’s golf team started their 2016-17 season, the women’s team will get their season underway when they travel to Mobile to participate in the USA Intercollegiate hosted by the University of South Alabama.
The Invitational will be held Sept. 9-12 at the Robert Trent Jones Trail – Magnolia Grove Crossings Course (par-72, 6,002 yards). The match is a 54-hole event with Friday being a practice round day. The teams will then play 18 holes Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Along with ASU and host South Alabama other teams involved in the tournament are Alabama-Birmingham, Eastern Kentucky, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia State, McNeese State, Samford, Southern Mississippi and Stephen F. Austin.
