Troy’s Downtown Market Kick Off

The City of Troy will kick off its first downtown market, on the square Saturday morning.

The market will feature more than 20 vendors. Locally grown produce, baked goods and vendors. The market is will open the second and fourth Saturday of September and October and the first Saturday in November.

Coordinators say in addition to scoring cheap produce. It’s also a great way to encourage people to shop local.

“We’ve had people asking for an event like this in downtown and we have visited some downtowns and one of our favorite events that we came across was the downtown market,” says Leigh Ann Windham.

Saturday morning’s market is open from 7 until 11 on the square in downtown Troy.
