Troy University Welcomes New Exhibit
It’s history in the making at Troy University, 200 Terra Cotta Warriors to be exact.
The warriors are replica’s from Shaanxi, China. It will also include an indoor educational museum that explains the archaeological history of the warriors. The project began 2 years ago as a vision from the university’s Chancellor Jack Hawkins. Designer Frank Marquette says it’s his vision to showcase the university’s warrior spirit.
“It was a fairly intensive design that required a lot of conscious thought. We needed to consider the experience from a number of perspectives from all of our visitors and all of their needs,” says Marquette.
The exhibit is expected to be completed in 6 to 7 weeks.
