Selma Interpretive Center and Riverfront Projects Make Progress

WAL7From the West Alabama Newsroom–

Selma city leaders say two major construction projects are making big progress and they’re already preparing to kick off the next phase of both projects.

Mayor George Evans says the third phase of construction on the amphitheater is about halfway done.
Evans says the facility can seat about two thousand people.

“The stage area, the lighting and all like that, the seating where people can bring blankets and chairs is all prepared,” said Evans.

The Selma Interpretive Center is also under construction. Crews are renovating the 2nd and 3rd floors to expand the space at the facility.
