Troy University Career Draws Hundreds of Students
Hundreds of students attended Troy’s Fall Career Fair Wednesday, searching for options after graduation.
60 employers attended the annual fair which is a record number for the university. Students attending say they are looking for employers that will give them opportunities to stay in the area after receiving their diplomas. The fair comes at a time where Alabama’s unemployment is at it’s lowest since 2008.
“Over three-quarters of the employers are located in this region and in this area so it’s coming out not really thinking about big names but finding good quality businesses to work for,” says Troy University Career Counselor Emily Reiss.
Students attending today’s fair also had the opportunity to take free professional head shots and receive resume reviews before entering the fair.
