Troy University’s Plan for Additional Parking Spaces

Troy University’s parking pains for students could soon be alleviated, thanks to the university’s proposal for additional parking.

University officials plan to add between 550 to 600 parking spaces on campus. They say those spaces would accommodate the growth of the university and visitors on campus. Right now the university has over 4,000 parking spaces. Students say the plan is a good move by the university, that will hopefully decrease the amount of tickets given.

“We’ll hear less complaints about ticketing and parking issues. because that’s the biggest problem because people want to park where ever, but they also don’t respect the fact that if you park where ever, you’re also going to get a ticket,” says Aleeah Stigarll

Right now, there is no definite time as to when the university plans to start constructing the new lot.
