Ben Bolton

Ben Bolton is the weekend sports anchor for Alabama News Network. Ben came to Montgomery after graduating from the University of Georgia and the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications. He also worked as a temporary news reporter at WRBL in Columbus, Georgia, in 2013. Ben grew up in Savannah, Georgia. He played almost every sport, and competed on the wrestling team in high school. He attended Savannah Arts Academy, where he was a theatre major. During his senior of high school, he interned at WJCL in the sports department with Frank Sulkowski and Allen Kinsley. He was also an intern at the Savannah Morning News in the sports department under Tony Stastny. At UGA, he became a manager at the campus television station called Grady Newsource. He became Senior Production Manager during his last semester. Ben was also the President of Di Gamma Kappa, the UGA broadcast society. He hosted a sports radio show on WUOG as well. During college, Ben was an intern at Georgiadogs.com and IMG College covering all UGA sports. In addition, he had an sports internship with WRBL in the summer of 2013 under news director Perry Boxx. He also participated in the first years of the Grady Sports Media program at UGA. Ben loves playing most sports, including disc golf. He enjoys all kinds of music, especially classic rock. His favorite band is Rush. Ben also likes to play sports video games.
