Troy University Students Raise Funds for Professor
Troy University students are helping a visually impaired professor in a big way. They are working to raise $15,000 to replace Joey Arnold’s eSight device. The device helps improve vision in his right eye. His left eye is prosthetic. Arnold’s eSight device was lost in a recent house fire, along with his other belongings. Students spent the day raffling off prizes, grilling and pulling off a challenging 24 hour bike ride.
“It’s a hefty goal of $15,000 but if you break it down. If every students gives $2 which is the price of a soda then we could replace it just that easy,” Troy University Student Ben Barnett.
“It is amazing. It’s a very unbelievable experience to know that these guys are willing to take their time and expend their energy,” says Joey Arnold
