Selma Woman Killed in Head-On Crash, Three Other Injured

crashAuthorities say a 44-year-old Selma woman died and three others injured in a head-on crash in Dallas County.

Alabama State Police tell AL.com the accident happened Saturday night on Highway 14, three miles west of Selma.

Senior Trooper Reginal King said Tamera Rena Billingsley Mayo’s car collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Valerie England.

King said Mayo was not using a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

England and her two passengers were airlifted to hospitals in Birmingham for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions have not been released.

King is the accident remains under investigation.
