Peanut Butter Festival Preparations
It’s that time of the year again for peanut butter lovers. The city of Brundidge is just days away from it’s annual Peanut Butter Festival.
It’s the 25th year of the festival that celebrates peanut butter heritage. The earliest peanut butter mill, Johnston’s Peanut Butter Mill was started in Brundidge in 1928. This year’s festival will feature over 100 vendors, entertainment, arts and crafts and of course free peanut butter.
“People come from all over. the surrounding states and it’s just a family oriented festival, a lot of fun the kids and lot of fun for the adults,” says Linda Faust of Brundidge.
“It gives people and opportunity to find out about Brundidge and what Brundidge is all about,” says Lawrence Bowden of the Brundidge Historical Society.
The festival kicks off at 8 am Saturday with a 5K run in downtown Brundidge.
Saturday’s festival is free for the public.
