Troy University Officials Announce Plans for New End Zone Facility
It’s an exciting time for Troy University officials as they announce construction for their north end zone football facility at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.
The 67,000 square ft. facility will be located 30 ft. away from the north end zone of Veterans Memorial Stadium. The first floor will serve football players with a strength and conditioning center and locker rooms. Coaches offices will be housed on the second floor. The third level will have 400 stadium seats. There will also be additional terrace space on the third level for in-game tailgating. Officials say the 24 million dollar facility is much needed for players.
“On a day to day basis-recruiting, how our team functions but even more than that, I think it’s about fulfilling a vision, moving forward as a program and seeing that success happen,” says Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain.
There will be a special groundbreaking ceremony saturday for the new facility at 2 pm. Construction is expected to be done in September 2018.
