International Student Reacts To Ebola

There’s growing concern over the Ebola virus. Seven thousand people have been affected and now there’s been confirmed cases in the United States and Spain.
One Troy University grad student from Nigeria’s been trying to stay up to date on the spread of the disease in her country.
Nigeria’s fared well and the Centers for Disease Control says there’s been a limited number of cases.
The country’s public health system has been able to contain the disease so far.
“It’s one of those things like you stay in your room and you pray like oh god what is going on in our country? You don’t want people dying,” Mac-jane Chukwu, student from Nigeria, said.
This afternoon in a news conference, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says details on the measures to screen air passengers for Ebola will be announced sometime this week.
