Marion Woman Demands Answers After Son Allegedly Attacked at School
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
The mother of a Francis Marion School ninth grade student is demanding justice after her son was allegedly attacked and injured at school by two men who walk in off the street.
Tomeka White of Marion says she wants answers after her 16 year old son is injured at school Friday.
“When I send my kids on that bus to come to school they supposed to be safe and secure, I mean, they have a button to get in, you gotta mash to go in the school,” said White.
Superintendent John Heard says an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
He says the school system will take the appropriate action regarding the incident based on the findings of their investigation.
“I want to know how did these grown men get into the school. I just want to know. When I come to the school I have to ring the bell to get in there,” said White.
Police Chief Patrick Essex says Lionel and Scotty Jackson, both of Marion, were arrested and charged with third-degree assault.
He says both suspects in the case have been released on bond.
