Wanted Bank Robbery Suspects Captured
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Two bank robbery suspects who’ve been on the run from authorities for weeks have been captured in Connecticut.
Perry County Sheriff Billy Jones says Stanley Young and Fortune Hoppins, Junior were arrested by U.S. Marshals early Tuesday morning.
“When they did arrest these two suspects they were in possession of firearms so Connecticut will be charging them with firearm possession, illegal firearm possession in Connecticut,” said Jones. “Once their proceedings are complete then that’s when they’ll be extradited back to Alabama.”
Jones says the duo held up a bank in Marion back in September.
“There were video in several different places, you know, that connected these suspects to the bank robbery,” he said.
Hoppins is also suspected of burglarizing the Dollar General Store in Uniontown while Young is also wanted in Marengo County on multiple charges stemming from a home invasion.
