Organizers of Battle of Selma Working to Save Event

Organizers of the Battle of Selma are working to raise the money needed to save this year’s event.

Organizers say they have set up a Go Fund Me account to try to raise the $22,000 in city fees needed to host the event.
They say when news broke that the event was cancelled, they received a high volume of calls, social media posts and interest from the community.
The campaign was launched last week.
