Final Preps Underway for Silver Jubilee

The annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee is set to get underway in just about two weeks and this year is the 25th anniversary of the event.

Organizers are putting the finishing touches on the five day celebration.

The Jubilee features around forty events including an outdoor music festival and the Bridge Crossing Reenactment.

President Donald Trump was invited to attend the Jubilee by Congresswoman Terri Sewell after she decided to skip his inauguration.

Sam Walker is one of the Jubilee co-coordinators.

“We haven’t heard anything from her or from the White House as if he’s coming, so we don’t think he’s coming,” said Walker.
