Pike Co. Sheriff, Revenue Commissioner Win Reelection

About 47 percent of Pike County voters turned out to the polls, according to Probate Judge Wes Allen. 

Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas won relection. He faced off against Troy Police Sergeant Jason Youngblookd. When the Sheriff first claimed the seat back in 1994 he won all of the boxes and the same thing again this year. The vote was Thomas-6,913 to Youngblood- 2,204.
 
Thomas said, “I want to thank the employees of the sheriff’s office. We are a team. Everything we do we do together. And I would not be as succesful as I am wihtout the help of them men and women who work in the Pike County sheriff’s department.”
 
Incumbent Revenue Commissioner Curtis Blair won reelection 6,015 votes to Bo Weed’s 3,069 votes.
