Fans Hope Attendance Improves To Support Blakeney

College football’s regular season is inching closer and closer to coming to an end.

In Troy that means the end of an era- only one home game remains in Coach Larry Blakeney’s career.

This Saturday the Troy Trojans took on Georgia State. They won, making their record 2 and 8. This is Blakeney’s 100th win at Veteran’s Memorial and 177th win overall.

This is the second to last home game of Blakeney’s 24th and final season.

Troy’s home attendance numbers have dropped by thousands of tickets since the beginning of the season. But Troy fans are hoping people will come in full force for Blakeney’s last game.

Ted Bell/ said, “He’s an icon not just to Troy but NCAA football and he deserves to go out in a special way and I think that the fans are going to support him.”

The last home game is on Novermber 29th, that’s the same day as the Iron Bowl.
