Changes on the Way For Pre-K Registration

It’s that time of year again when parents line up to register their children for Pre School.
But there’s one change that will determine if your child will be able to get in.
This year all students who register for Pre-K will need to go through a screening process. School Officials say the screener will last about 30 minutes.The screener is designed to analyze student’s developmental skills. That will help determine who will get into the Pre-K Program.
The new screening process is due to a new source of funding the program receives called Title One Funds.Title One Requires the program to look at different criteria when screening future students.
