Not A Lot of Sun in the Forecast

TODAY-FRIDAY: Moisture deepens and we will mention a chance of showers for the entire state with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Tomorrow looks mostly cloudy and mild with some risk of showers with mid 70s for highs, but then upper 70s and dare I say some lower 80s are expected to return to many areas Friday. Also Friday, we will be watching a surface front to our northwest which will approach the state with rain likely at times. No severe weather issues, and we don’t expect any flooding problems.

MORE WET WEATHER THIS WEEKEND: The front will slip into the state late Friday night and Saturday, stalling out somewhere across Central Alabama. This means clouds will linger through the weekend, and once again we will deal with showers both days. Saturday should be see highs in near 70°, but Sunday will be a bit cooler with highs in the 60s. There will be some breaks in the rain, and no flooding issues like last weekend. Just occasional showers.

MORE OF THE SAME: Certainly looks like we continue to see a persistent weather pattern across Alabama as it is going to be looking more like the weather for Seattle or the Pacific Northwest. Meaning most days next week will feature a cloudy sky with some risk of showers. The weather will be mild with highs well up in the 60s and 70s. The bottom line is that we won’t see much sun around here for the next 10 days with occasional showers, especially for the northern half of the state. No severe storms, no flooding, and probably not much thunder and lightning. Also, not Arctic air for Alabama during this time frame, but I won’t to remind folks we are not done with winter yet…

Have a great day!
Ryan
