Below-Normal Temperatures Close Out The Week

If you found yourself reaching for a jacket Thursday morning, you probably weren’t alone. Morning low temperatures fell into the 50s. While the last few days featured more clouds than sunshine, sunshine returns in greater supply today.

Showers And Storms For A Few Days

The sunny and warm weather from Mother’s Day weekend is on hiatus with showers and storms back in our area today. Rain was moderate to heavy at times with thunder and lightning in the mix late Sunday night and early Monday morning.

Showers And Storms Arrive Sunday Night

It was a warm and breezy Mother’s Day with plenty of sunshine. High temperatures soared into the mid and upper 80s today. Humidity was on the rise as well, and that could be the fuel for storms late this evening and overnight.

Warm And Breezy Mother’s Day, Rain Returns Sunday Night

Mother’s day looks nice if you like sunshine and some serious warmth. Winds become quite breezy out of the south at 10 to 20 mph for most of the day, helping warm temperatures into the mid and upper 80s. While the daylight hours look dry and mostly sunny, showers and storms could arrive in our northwest communities just before midnight.

Trending Warmer Mother’s Day Weekend

Here we are one week into May, but it felt like we were in the midst of March Friday. High temperatures ranged from around 70° north to around 80° south. Humidity was rather low and the northwest breeze fairly strong.

Severe Weather Threat Continues Sunday Evening

There’s still a threat for strong to severe storms, especially west of Interstate 65 through at least midnight tonight. A brief tornado and damaging winds appear to be the main threats.

Storms Late Sunday, Some Could Be Severe

The month of May started on a nice note. Temperatures were seasonably cool this morning and warm this afternoon. There was plenty of sunshine while the humidity was low. Unfortunately, this weather won’t last for the rest of the weekend.

A Thursday Night Cold Front, Showers, And A Few Storms

Thursday morning wasn’t so sunny, bright, and full of opportunity. In fact, our area experienced a generally overcast sky with spotty showers in the mix. The clouds curbed the warming process, with midday temperatures only in the low to mid 70s despite morning lows only falling into the low and mid 60s. Expect a mostly cloudy sky for the rest…
