It was a nice Labor Day across central and south Alabama. The “unofficial end to summer” was a hot one, with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s today. We saw plenty of sunshine though, and the humidity was quite low. This evening looks nice as many prepare to return to work or school. Expect temperatures in the upper…
It was a mostly cloudy start to the day across central and south Alabama, but some sunshine finally broke through during the afternoon. We got a healthy dose of showers and storms this afternoon, moving east to west across the area. These showers and storms gradually taper off this evening, with the sky becoming partly cloudy. Temperatures fall into the…

Clouds may increase overnight, though it…
It was another virtually cloud-free day across central and south Alabama. High temperatures rose into the low to mid 90s thanks to the dry air and abundant sunshine. This evening looks clear and comfortable, with temperatures falling into the 70s by 9PM and continued lower humidity. Overnight lows fall into the mid to upper 60s, so expect another pleasant start…
The wet-weather pattern continues today, with showers and storms likely throughout the day. It won’t be a washout for any particular location, and it won’t rain in any one spot all day. But we could see multiple rounds of rain with embedded storms today. A few locations could pick up 1-2″ of rain. Areas west of I-65 likely see the…
It was a less-than-sunny Sunday across central and south Alabama. Not everyone saw rain through this afternoon, but a cluster of showers and storms is heading south to north through the area this evening. Even if you miss out on that batch of rain, tonight doesn’t look like a totally rain free night. You could still get a shower or…

Showers and storms remained fairly scattered today, but it looks like they could be quite widespread for part two of the weekend and Monday. An isolated shower or storm remains possible overnight with an otherwise…

Fortunately, heat index temperatures stayed near or below 100° this afternoon. Showers and storms remain possible early this evening. They’ll gradually taper off,…
The showers and storms wasted no time developing this morning. More showers and storms developed this afternoon. Most were concentrated on either side of I-65, traveling parallel to the interstate from southwest to northeast. High temperatures topped out in the low to mid 90s, but heat index temperatures generally remained below 100°. Expect a partly cloudy sky this evening with…
