The rest of Friday looks mainly dry, with sunshine during the afternoon. Temperatures warm into the low and mid 80s. Humidity decreases as winds turn to the northwest.
An organized cluster of storms, or Mesoscale Convective System (MCS) may develop to our west Thursday evening. It may race west to east across our area Thursday night. Damaging wind gusts could be more common and widespread due to these storms.
Some storms may become strong to severe Thursday, capable mainly of damaging wind and hail. The second round of storms during the evening and night looks like it could be more intense.
Thursday looks like another very warm day with high temperatures in the upper 80s. A couple locations may hit 90°. Stray showers may form during the afternoon.
A small chance for rain returns Monday. A weakening weather system moving out of the plains and Mississippi River Valley may bring showers to Alabama during the late afternoon and early evening.
Sunshine remains abundant early this week. High temperatures remain below average Monday, in the upper 60s to low 70s.
