Daytime Showers And Storms Likely Through Friday

Thursday morning featured some sunshine and was rain-free through the mid morning. However, isolated showers started to dot the radar at midday. Expect these to become scattered to numerous through the course of the afternoon and early evening.

Lower, But Higher Than Usual Rain Chances Through Friday

Not only was it cloudy in many locations Wednesday morning, many saw rain that was heavy for at least a short period of time. The river region was one of those areas. A small cluster of rain tracked northeast from about Fort Deposit to Kowaliga between 7 and 10AM. Locations in between like Montgomery, Prattville, Wetumpka, and Eclectic saw rain as well.

Numerous To Widespread Showers And Storms Through Wednesday

It was another cloudy and for some wet morning across central and south Alabama. If it’s any consolation, much of the southeastern United States experienced similar weather. The culprit? A stalled front stretching from the Carolinas to Louisiana. With the front still nearby through at least Wednesday, expect our cloudy sky with high rain chances to continue.

Exceptionally High Rain Chances Early This Week

Seems as though dry and sunny summer mornings are hard to come by. Monday morning definitely wasn’t one, with widespread clouds and plenty of rain in our area as the sun rose. Showers and storms remain numerous to widespread throughout the rest of the day.

Heat, Humidity, And Daytime Storms This Weekend

Friday morning featured some clouds, some sun, and even some rain. At midday, most locations were rain-free, though isolated downpours popped up in west Alabama. While Friday won’t be a washout, there’s a decent chance that anyone in our area sees rain at some point during the afternoon or evening.

Less Rain But More Heat For The Rest Of The Week

It seems like a long time coming, but finally, Wednesday featured a mainly sunny summer morning. Through midday, the area was mainly rain-free, though isolated shower or storms remain possible this afternoon. However, unlike recent days, more locations remain dry rather than see rain.

Lower Rain Chances But Higher Heat

Unlike Monday, Tuesday morning was mainly rain-free across central and south Alabama. Many of us saw some sunshine too. For the afternoon, expect a mix of sun and clouds outside of any showers or storms. However, rain will be around our area this afternoon.

Higher-Than-Normal Rain Chances Early This Week

It seems like we haven’t had many sunny and dry summer days. Or at least days with low rain chances. Monday certainly wasn’t one of those, with a mostly cloudy morning and quite a bit of rain prior to midday. Expect scattered to numerous showers and storms throughout the afternoon and early evening.

There Will Be Rain This Weekend, But It Won’t Be A Washout

Friday morning featured -yet another- mostly cloudy sky, though there wasn’t much rain through mid-morning. Showers and storms started lighting up the radar at midday. Expect the coverage of showers and storms to peak this afternoon, with another decent chance that anyone in our area sees rain at some point during the day.
