Typical Summertime Weather Through The Weekend

Depending on your location, Thursday might have started on an overcast or at least mostly cloudy note. Despite the rather widespread clouds, Thursday morning was virtually rain-free. However, isolated to scattered showers and storms are probable for the afternoon.

High Rain Chances Through Tuesday

While we waved goodbye to Claudette over the weekend, we haven’t waved goodbye to clouds, showers and storms. The abundant sunshine of Sunday afternoon was brief, with widespread clouds and scattered showers and storms in the forecast Monday afternoon.

Rain, Wind, And Possibly Brief Tornadoes Saturday

Friday started with some sunshine, but the day closes with an overcast sky. Scattered showers and storms also drifted south to north through our area during the afternoon. These were associated with one of the outer feeder bands of potential tropical cyclone three.

Sunshine And Dry Now; Tropical Impacts This Weekend

Thursday afternoon features nice weather by mid-June standards. Although afternoon temperatures likely peak in the low 90s, humidity remains low enough that the heat index or “feels-like” temperature remains near or just below the actual air temperature.

Weekend Rain Chances Lower, But Temperatures Higher

Friday was oh-so-similar to most of this week. Clouds were widespread this morning, and again, showers and storms fired up prior to midday. Despite the presence of showers and storms throughout the day, temperatures in many locations peaked in the low 90s.

The Rain Chance Remains High Friday

New day, same old weather pattern. Thursday once again featured a high coverage of daytime showers and storms. Outside of locally heavy rain, the sky was mostly cloudy, but temperatures still peaked in the mid to upper 80s to low 90s.

Numerous To Widespread Showers And Storms Early This Week

Sunday was a gloomy one in central and south Alabama. The sky was overcast for much of the day, while the humidity was high. Showers and storms were rather heavy in west Alabama for a good bit of the day too. The coverage of showers and storms remains fairly high this evening, and some of these may slide further east to impact areas previously mainly rain-free.

Warm And Humid With Daytime Showers And Storms

It was a mostly cloudy, very warm, and humid Saturday across central and south Alabama. Despite the clouds, daytime high temperatures rose into the mid and upper 80s. Showers and even storms were here and there throughout the day.

Another Round Of Showers And Storms Friday

Showers and storms return to our forecast Friday afternoon, though there may be less of them Friday than Thursday. Temperatures in rain-free locations are likely to warm into the upper 80s.

Showers And Storms In Greater Supply Thursday

Thursday began with dense fog in south Alabama and some rain in west Alabama. A dense fog advisory expires at 8AM Thursday morning for Covington, Butler, and Crenshaw counties. Until then, visibility could fall below one quarter mile at times. There wasn’t much rain Thursday morning, but expect a much higher chance for rain later today.
