Rain In Thursday’s Forecast, But Dry This Weekend

Clouds, rain, and storms remain in the forecast Thursday. Locally heavy rain could lead to flooding again today. A flash flood watch remains in effect until 7PM for counties near and east of Interstate 65 and near and north of Interstate 85.

Rain, Storms, And An Ongoing Flooding Risk Wednesday

New day, same weather story. Late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning featured heavy rain across parts of Alabama. Similar to Tuesday, most of Wednesday morning post-sunrise featured a lull in rain and storm activity. However, showers and storms return this afternoon and evening.

Widespread clouds with rain and storms at times best describes Tuesday’s weather. Rain was locally heavy Monday afternoon and overnight. However, between sunrise and midday Tuesday, there wasn’t much rain across our area. Spotty and mainly light showers started developing around midday.

A Few Showers Or Storms Wednesday and Thursday

Wednesday features a mix of sun and clouds with high temperatures in the upper 80s. Humidity is a bit higher today. That means the heat index could be a bit higher than the air temperatures. The added humidity could also fuel a handful of afternoon showers or storms.

Sunshine And Some Clouds, But No Rain This Week

The weekend was nice as could be across central and south Alabama. Sunshine was abundant, humidity was low, and temperatures nice and Fall-like. Even though the weekend is over, we can still smile at the fine weather for our area Monday.

Sunshine Reigns Supreme Through The Weekend

Friday features another downright chilly morning by late September standards. All locations in our area start in the 50s at sunrise. From there, warmer temperatures highlight the forecast with highs near 80°. Expect abundant sunshine from start to finish, while humidity remains low.

Temperatures in the 50s Thursday morning may come as a shock to the system. For the first time in a while, it isn’t warm and humid. Thursday features fantastic Fall weather.
