Heat, Humidity, And Daytime Storms This Weekend

Friday morning featured some clouds, some sun, and even some rain. At midday, most locations were rain-free, though isolated downpours popped up in west Alabama. While Friday won’t be a washout, there’s a decent chance that anyone in our area sees rain at some point during the afternoon or evening.

Less Rain But More Heat For The Rest Of The Week

It seems like a long time coming, but finally, Wednesday featured a mainly sunny summer morning. Through midday, the area was mainly rain-free, though isolated shower or storms remain possible this afternoon. However, unlike recent days, more locations remain dry rather than see rain.

Lower Rain Chances But Higher Heat

Unlike Monday, Tuesday morning was mainly rain-free across central and south Alabama. Many of us saw some sunshine too. For the afternoon, expect a mix of sun and clouds outside of any showers or storms. However, rain will be around our area this afternoon.

Higher-Than-Normal Rain Chances Early This Week

It seems like we haven’t had many sunny and dry summer days. Or at least days with low rain chances. Monday certainly wasn’t one of those, with a mostly cloudy morning and quite a bit of rain prior to midday. Expect scattered to numerous showers and storms throughout the afternoon and early evening.

There Will Be Rain This Weekend, But It Won’t Be A Washout

Friday morning featured -yet another- mostly cloudy sky, though there wasn’t much rain through mid-morning. Showers and storms started lighting up the radar at midday. Expect the coverage of showers and storms to peak this afternoon, with another decent chance that anyone in our area sees rain at some point during the day.

Rain Chances Decline This Weekend

Thursday morning featured another mainly cloudy sky and even some fog. However, some locations managed to see some sunshine Thursday morning, which could be a trend going forward. Some showers and storms formed prior to midday, mainly in southwest Alabama.

Daytime Rain Chances Elevated Through Thursday

Wednesday featured another gloomy and gray start for central and south Alabama. However, there wasn’t much rain around through the morning. That likely changes with time through the afternoon and evening. Showers and storms could be scattered to possibly numerous.

Higher-Than-Usual Rain Chances Through Thursday

Widespread clouds with a few showers and even storms best described Tuesday morning. Showers and storms could become numerous at times this afternoon and evening, with a high chance that just about all of our area sees rain at some point during the day.

Elevated Rain Chances Through Wednesday At Least

Monday’s weather wasn’t quite as nice as the holiday weekend. Clouds, showers, and storms returned by the afternoon, though not everyone received rain. It was still hot and humid before the rain arrived, with daytime highs peaking in the low 90s for some.
