Warmer Temperatures And Rain Later This Week

It was another abnormally cool October morning. Lows ranged from the low to mid 40s. As soon as the sun rose, there wasn’t much other than clear blue sky in our area.

Very Warm And Dry Until This Weekend

Tuesday features a partly cloudy sky with high temperatures in the mid 80s. A front was positioned near far northwest Alabama at midday Tuesday. Clouds were widespread in advance of the front. However, there wasn’t much rain along the front.

Some Sun, Some Clouds, And Warm This Week

The dry weather pattern rolls on Monday. While not as sunny as the past weekend, Monday still features plenty of sun and blue sky among some fair-weather clouds. Temperatures remain warm for early October. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s Monday afternoon.

Sunshine Is Here To Stay Through The Weekend

After days of clouds and rain, lasting sunshine is back across central and south Alabama. While Friday morning was fog-filled near and east of Interstate 65, sunshine becomes plentiful for all Friday afternoon. Temperatures warm into the mid 80s with slightly less humidity.

Rain In Thursday’s Forecast, But Dry This Weekend

Clouds, rain, and storms remain in the forecast Thursday. Locally heavy rain could lead to flooding again today. A flash flood watch remains in effect until 7PM for counties near and east of Interstate 65 and near and north of Interstate 85.

Rain, Storms, And An Ongoing Flooding Risk Wednesday

New day, same weather story. Late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning featured heavy rain across parts of Alabama. Similar to Tuesday, most of Wednesday morning post-sunrise featured a lull in rain and storm activity. However, showers and storms return this afternoon and evening.
