Community Turns Out for Vigil in Memory of Crash Victims

Two Bullock County teenage girls lost their lives in a car wreck last weekend, while two others are in the hospital. The community came out to honor their memory Friday night at a candlelight vigil.

  Over 300 people gathered at Harris Park in Midway. “This issue was so devastating that it touched everybody in this community. Update: Montgomery Police Make Arrest in Fatal Shooting

Montgomery police say they’ve made an arrest in this morning’s shooting death of 59-year-old Tony Myhand of Montgomery. Detectives say they’ve charged 40-year-old Christopher Myhand of Montgomery with murder. Police say Myhand was taken into custody at the scene. He is being held under a $150,000 bond. Salvation Army Honors 300+ Volunteers at Annual Dinner

The Salvation Army helps people throughout the year get back on their feet. And they couldn't do it without their volunteers.

Thursday night the Salvation Army took time to thank those volunteers at their annual banquet at Frazer United Methodist Church. Judge Orders Phone Tapes Turned Over in Mike Hubbard Case

A judge has ordered a political consultant to turn over recordings of phone conversations he had with the lead prosecutor in House Speaker Mike Hubbard’s ethics case. A man is in custody after a fatal shooting in Hope Hull, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
