Coosa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shootings of two people. They say the shootings happened inside a home on County Road 93 in the Cottage Grove community on Wednesday. A Hurtsboro woman has died following a single-vehicle crash near Opelika, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials. Lawanda Kelly, 35, was killed when the 1998 Ford Expedition she was driving left the roadway and overturned. Kelley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
