Police say at least 40 rounds were fired during a gun battle outside a Birmingham motorcycle club that killed two people and wounded two others. Close to 400 Moon Pies are ready for Alabama’s largest Moon Pie-eating contest. The 23rd annual event will be held Monday afternoon at Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park. Firefighters in Autauga Getting New Breathing Equipment

Volunteer firefighters in Autauga County will receive money for new breathing equipment. The Autauga County Firefighters Association has received a grant for more than $614,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The award does not include the Prattville fire department.
