Sports Director Lindsey Bonner joined WAKA Action 8 News in April 2023.
Lindsey is a native of Cartersville, Georgia, which is just north of Atlanta. She discovered her passion for broadcast journalism at a young age from her grandfather who was the Senior Photographer for ABC.
Lindsey graduated Magna Cum Laude from York College of Pennsylvania with a degree in Mass Communication. During her time at York, Lindsey was also a part of the women’s golf team and interned with the sports department at WHTM in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
After graduation, Lindsey moved to North Platte, Nebraska, to begin her career at KNOP as the weekend sports anchor/reporter before being promoted to Sports Director three months later. Though she enjoyed her time in Nebraska, Lindsey is thrilled to be back in the South close to her family and in SEC country!
When Lindsey is not working she enjoys shopping, traveling, running and watching any kind of sport (especially college football & baseball)!
If you have any interesting sports stories, she’d love to hear from you.
