The Colorado Buffaloes spoiled Ed McCaffrey’s college coaching debut with a 35-7 win over Northern Colorado at Folsum Field. The Buffaloes outgained the Bears on the ground 281 yards to 17 yards. Four different Colorado running backs rushed into the end zone, and freshman quarterback Brendon Lewis threw for 102 yards and a touchdown in his first collegiate start. Running back Jarek Broussard led the way for Colorado with 94 yards on 15 carries. He scored on a spin move to get the rout going.
