Lock, Bridgewater looking for separation in Seattle

Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater both had terrific debuts last weekend in Minnesota and Denver Broncos coach Vic Fangio says they’re still even-steven in their quarterback competition. Lock and Bridgewater are both out to state their case again this weekend when the Broncos visit the Seattle Seahawks. The Vikings played their backups and Fangio says he’s not worried about the Seahawks sitting their starters, either. Fangio says opponents holding back their first-stringers won’t handicap his QB competition because he’s basing it on the entirety of camp and not just on their game day performances.

The Denver Broncos held their third annual Alzheimer’s Awareness Day on Wednesday at training camp. Coaches wore purple T-shirts and fans were given purple foam fingers and towels and encouraged to sign up for an Alzheimer’s walk next month and donate to the cause. The team has been touched by the brain disease that afflicted both late owner Pat Bowlen and his widow Annabel. The Broncos and stadium sponsor Empower Retirement presented a $50,000 check to the Alzheimer’s Association before practice.
