More summer-like warmth will head our way later this week and over the upcoming weekend.

Temperatures should reach the upper 70s in most locations, after holding in the 60s on Monday

Morning temps will be a bit chilly with mid to upper 40s through midweek.

Monday may remain a mainly cloudy, but dry day. Widespread clouds may limit high temperatures to the mid and upper 60s. However, clouds gradually clear Monday night.

Full sunshine is expected to return on Tuesday

Rain and thunder are likely area wide Sunday.

Some areas could pick up around 1 inch of rainfall.

The sky ultimately becomes partly to mostly sunny Thursday afternoon, while temperatures surge into the mid to perhaps upper 80s. A handful of stray showers appear possible, but most locations remain dry.

Showers and storms become widely scattered across the rest of our area Wednesday afternoon. For the rain-free locations, the sky remains partly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid 80s.

Tuesday looks like another partly to mostly cloudy and very warm day, with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. The chance for rain looks higher Tuesday and again Wednesday.
