Nearly 1,000 advocates from Alabama’s universities were in Montgomery to show support for higher education at the Alabama State House.
The Higher Education Day parade will feature mascots, marching bands, flags and students representing Alabama’s 14 public, four-year universities.

It’s a tradition in Alabama as Gov. Kay Ivey was joined by mascots from the state’s 14 public universities to proclaim “College Colors Day” in the state.
Students, mascots and advocates representing all of Alabama’s 14 public universities were on-hand to help promote the value they bring to the State’s economy.
