Union Springs Police Release Name of Shooting Suspect

Union Springs resident are reacting after the latest murder arrest in the town. 29-year-old Danny Parker was fatally shot Saturday on Hardaway Avenue. Officers have now released the name of the suspect as 17-year-old Auverrius Washington.
The shooting that happened as a result of physical altercation, isn’t the the first in Union Springs of the year and residents say something has to be done to stop the violence happening.
“As a citizen of Bullock County I believe in God that he’s going to intervene. I’m praying for both families, praying for support and that they can come together and justice be done,” Sandra Mack Owens.
Washington’s bond was set $75,000. He has since bonded out. Once the investigation is complete it will be turned over to the DA’s office to be prepared for grand jury.
