i-Team: Where’s the Interpretive Center?

IMG_0034Dirt is being turned on a piece of land in the shadow of the ASU Football Stadium in Montgomery. It’s the first physical sign that work on the long-awaited interpretive center for the Selma to Montgomery March Trail has begun.

Its been two years since ASU won a competition to have the site located on their campus, beating out a half dozen other potential locations, including, The City of St. Jude on Fairview Avenue.

Tim Lennox’s report looks back at the process that ended with ASU’s selection, and the surprising comments by one stakeholder who says, in retrospect, he’s blessed.
