Hot and Mostly Dry Weekend
The hot and dry pattern continues as we kick off the first weekend of fall. Temperatures this afternoon will again reach the mid 90s across the river region. Tonight, we will cool down into the low 70s and it looks to be a fairly nice night to enjoy outdoors. Rain chances will be minimal for Saturday and only isolated on Sunday. Temperatures will still be hot, with afternoon highs in the mid 90s each day of the weekend.
Better rain chances come our way for the start of next week ahead of an approaching cold front. Scattered storms are possible both Monday and Tuesday, and that should hold afternoon highs around 90°. The exact timing of the front remains very uncertain, but it looks like by Thursday or Friday we should definitely begin to see more seasonable temperatures. Skies will clear out back behind the front towards the end of the week as well, and that could mean temperatures in the mid 80s coupled with sunny skies by next Thursday or Friday.
