MCSO: Car Crashes into Downed Tree

An early morning wreck had Vaughn Road at Laurelwood Lane shut down Thursday.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says a tree fell across the road and then a car hit the tree.  Captain David Hughes with Pike Road Fire says one person was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

The road has since reopened.
