ACTION 8 UPDATE: Third suspect charged in Montgomery homicide

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police say a third suspect has now been charged in a homicide case.

Police say the suspect, a 16-year-old male from Montgomery, has been charged with murder.

Police say he was identified as an additional suspect in the September 10 shooting death of a 16-year-old male from Montgomery.

As Action 8 News has reported, the victim was shot on Gazebo East Drive. His body was found on Eastern Boulevard.

A 16-year-old was arrested and charged in the case in October. That same month, a second arrest was made, as police charged 19-year-old Perez Sturdivant of Montgomery with murder.

Police say the latest suspect was taken into custody today by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force and placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under no bond.
