Wal Whsewer0404 Fox PkgThe town is installing a new public sewer system for residents who live in town. Residents who live in the area where the new sewer service is available have now noticed an increase in their water bill.

“I have to try to budget, to pay my bills.”

Mayor Delmartre’ Bethel says the town was required to have a mandatory hook-up ordinance in place to obtain the funding for the project. He says the project will improve public health in the community — for decades to come.

“In order for the town to progress and grow we have to put things in place,” said Bethel.

“I’m constantly having conversations with other public officials to see what we can do to you know, first of all, offer the people some kind of help, some relief.”
