Mainly dry through Friday, chances for rain increase this weekend
The sky was rather sunny north and mainly cloudy south of highway 80 in Alabama Wednesday morning. Radar showed spotty light showers among the cloud-cover in south Alabama at midday. However, due to dry air close to the ground, it may evaporate before reaching the ground. Wednesday afternoon likely remains partly to mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Wednesday night becomes mostly clear with lows in the mid 50s.
Thursday looks partly cloudy, warm, and dry with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Thursday night lows fall into the mid to upper 50s. Friday looks partly cloudy, with stray showers possible, especially west of I-65, during the afternoon. Temperatures warm into the mid 80s. Chances for rain finally increase this weekend. Showers and some storms become scattered about Saturday. Isolated showers remain possible Sunday, but rain coverage looks lower.
Otherwise, temperatures remain warm with highs in the mid 80s this weekend. Our weather pattern remains unsettled next week, as a couple more cold fronts head towards the southeast. One times out for Monday night into Tuesday, bringing at least isolated showers or storms to our area during that time. Isolated showers appear possible Wednesday. Another cold front approaches late next week, bringing a chance for showers and storms Thursday and Friday.
