CAMPAIGN 2026: Ballot for August 11 special congressional primaries

CAMPAIGN 2026 (WAKA) – Voters in some Alabama congressional districts will be returning to the polls August 11 for special primaries to determine who’ll represent them in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Voters in Congressional Districts 1, 2, 6 and 7 will be going to the polls. That is the entire Action 8 viewing area other than Tallapoosa and Lee counties.

The reason for these special primaries is that the district lines have changed, which means some voters are in different districts.

The top vote-getters will move on to the general election, even if they don’t get 50% of the vote. There will be no runoffs.
