Auburn University breaks ground Jordan-Hare Stadium project
AUBURN UNIVERSITY, Ala. (WAKA) – Auburn University has broken ground on its most significant stadium project to date.
Jordan-Hare Stadium is getting a facelift on its North Concourse area.
In addition to more than 3,000 new premium seating and club experiences, the Jordan-Hare North Project will expand campus dining options with the introduction of Shug’s Food Hall – a modern food hall which will provide expanded food and beverage options in the heart of the Auburn campus – while serving as a concessions hub open to all Jordan-Hare Stadium ticket holders on football gamedays. The project will also feature versatile conference and event spaces, retail venues, student activity spaces, and meeting rooms.
The multi-use facility is designed to integrate seamlessly with the new north end zone videoboard. An estimated cost is more than $300 million between the facility and a plaza at the stadium.
The seven-level, approximately 300,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed by 2029.
